With an abiding interest in both domestic and international affairs, Howard University is committed to continuing to produce leaders for America and the global community.
As such, HUAC GWDC accepted an invitation from the Ambassador of Haiti, His Excellency Mr. Paul Altidor, to have a partnered engagement at the Embassy of the Republic of Haiti. The purpose: to celebrate, embrace, and show support for the Haitian natural disaster relief efforts.
Appropriately, the function was held on the eve of the Battle of Vertières for Haitian independence. Festivities began with a panel conversation with His Excellency Ambassador Paul Altidor about the involvements, supportive measures, and activeness of the Haitian Embassy.
Attendees included current Howard students, club members and other members of the Howard community who were thrilled to witness the history and culture of Haiti while partaking in delicious foods and delights.
Special thanks and acknowledgment go to Howard University Alum and Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Keadworks, Mr. Ike Nwaneri for coordinating the production. View the haiti.org website for a feature of the event.
